My story is a true miracle. Madison Skye came into the world on January 29, 2007. She was 7lbs. 8oz. and 21 inches long. I was so happy to meet her after 7 months of bed rest and uncertainty. I had lost my first baby, a boy Sean Michael, at 6 months pregnant. I had placenta previa, but my first doctor did not tell me to take it easy, so as a preschool teacher, I jumped, ran and played like I was having a normal pregnancy. It was not a normal pregnancy and had I known now what I didn't then, I would have taken it VERY easy.

I still can't believe to this day that I have a child. I have always been terrified of getting pregnant, not because I didn't want a child, but because I was so scared of giving birth. The whole process seemed to scary and painful. When I became pregnant in the spring of 2004, I didn't have a choice of being scared or not. We wanted this baby and were ready.
